Taking Decorating Cues From the Past

Today, I would like to present some pictures that were taken at my husband’s place of work: a National Historical Site and Museum featuring a Georgian frame farmhouse built by a Pennsylvania-German Mennonite in the early 1800s.  When Lily, Liam, and I went for a visit a few weeks back, I seriously couldn’t stop taking pics of all the incredible furniture.  Here are five fabulous decorating and design elements that I have to share with the world.  Enjoy!

Deals + Discoveries + Decisions

To me, one of the most exciting parts of transforming a living space is when your original ideas and inspirations morph into something even better than you expected. This type of serendipitous event is quickly becoming a common occurrence in regards to my kids’ bedroom revivals.  In putting together Lily and Liam’s bedrooms this past week, a number of small (but nonetheless awesome) deals, discoveries, and decisions have taken place.
